Conference was fantastic this time! There was so much going on! And loads I was interested in.
We had a visit from Martin Bell, the former BBC reporter and ex-MP. He gave us a talk on integrity in public life. His first line said it all: "My year in Westminster was the most shocking year of my life!" with the Green Party we hope to change that...
It was great to meet Jean Lambert and Caroline Lucas, out two serving MEPs. And we hope to join them next year!
I met with Young Greens who were discussing education which is a favourite issue of mine.
Amongst many good resolutions we also passed a strong minded one censuring Israel for its treatment of Palestinians - which seems to be getting worse by the day - and we called for boycott, divestment and sanctions.
I was also very impressed with the Venezuelan ambassador who was able to tell us a whole screed of things that the government is doing there on the environmental front - including changing 50 million light bulbs!
