1. VACANCY: PARLIAMENTARY ASSISTANT / RESEARCHER

Caroline Lucas MEP is looking for a highly capable, motivated individual with a strong interest in green issues and experience in EU policy-making to lead her work at the European Parliament in Brussels .

Job title:      Parliamentary Assistant / Researcher

Job purpose: To manage practical and political aspects of the Parliamentary work of the South East Green Party MEP

Reporting to: Green Party MEP or, in their absence, a delegated member of the Green Euro Trust

Based:          Brussels

Hours:          35 hours/week, including some unsociable hours

Contract and salary:

                   To end July 2014 (subject to probationary period).

                   The successful candidate will be employed directly by the European Parliament (EP). Pay will be on pay band 1-4 (€ 23 630 – 30 866 including expatriation allowance if applicable) dependent on experience. Household and child allowances paid extra as applicable under EP regulations.

2. VACANCY: EUROPEAN PARLIAMENTARY STAGE

Are you interested in Green politics and Caroline's work in the European Parliament ?

Are you organised, hard-working and an excellent communicator?

Are you available for a period of several months from September 2009?

Caroline is looking for a Stagiaire to play an active role in the workings of her Brussels office in the European Parliament. Being a Stagiaire is hard work but an excellent way to experience and contribute to Green politics in action, and to gain an insight into the workings of the European institutions.
